I think there was maybe 30 photos used. No, they appear to be taken on different days because some show rain and bad days, others show bright sky. I believe the exposure was used. You can see contrast throughout the different photos. I think the angles in which the photos were taken in impact the project greatly. Also, the people and their actions add character to the photo.
